Vogue // Haute Peinture

Haute Couture merges with watercolours in a series of images that are as dreamlike as they are real. Because craftsmanship is made up of silhouettes painted in imagination and materialised by craftsmen. Just like these brushstrokes that drink from the autumn/winter 2019 collections of Haute Couture and become, on a blank canvas, now coloured by the hands of Nuno da Costa: it is the complete circle. In the past, these special editions also began with a sketch drawn on a white sheet; they took shape on a mannequin and then came to life in a body – whatever it may be, because the cut is adjusted to the figure -, to finally return to a series of pages that awaits handmade images. And tailored for Vogue.
