Heart Space

“Heart Space” by Krista Kim premiered at Art Dubai 2024 as the world’s first collaborative biometric, AI-generative immersive artwork. This groundbreaking installation fuses art, technology, and human connection, transforming participants’ heartbeats into a collective visual symphony.

Inside an infinity mirrored room, a full LED screen acts as the dynamic canvas. Four participants at a time connect to ECG heartbeat sensors, converting their biological rhythms into real-time visuals. AI-driven generative software translates each heartbeat into unique, vibrant waveforms. These individual signals flow together into a living tapestry, each shaped by a live heartbeat. Every “Heart Signature” appears as a distinct waveform and color: yellow represents calm; greens and blues signal moderate emotions; purple indicates heightened states; and pink marks peak emotional intensity. Together, the four heartbeats weave a breathing portrait of collective human feeling in real time.

With each interaction, “Heart Space” evolves—merging the organic with the digital to explore interconnectedness and redefine the link between physiology and immersive art.

The installation leverages Tenbeo AI’s proprietary heartbeat-based biometric technology to create immutable, non-transferable Digital IDs. This initiative empowers individuals to reclaim control of their personal data through a secure digital identity anchored to their unique heartbeat.
