Collection of Motion

In 2018 Studio Taktil had the honor to work with art studio Humans since 1982 on a piece in their series of works called Collection of Motion. The piece which is comprised of 15 unique waterfall simulations explores collecting the uncollectible and the human desire to acquire and rationalize as a way of retaining order and control.

The simulations take inspiration from real life locations in terms of motion, size and lighting. Everything from the cliffs the water falls off from to the the forces that affect the physics of the water is modeled to mimic real life behaviors as much as possible resulting in a realistic result.
