Lea Woo

Lea Woo is a Shanghai based illustrator who graduated from Edinburgh College of Art.

Most of her works draw from her culture, and feature Asian women, depicting their delicacy, elegance, strength and confidence, and an affinity with nature. The simple layouts, soft color palettes and papery textures create a vintage vibe, subtle mood and tranquil atmosphere.

Woo feels the drawing process is sometimes like doing a ‘collage’. She likes to collect any inspiration and materials she feels drawn to while she travels through life, be it the flowers down the street, textures of the walls, or colors of the sky, enjoying the juxtaposition of seemingly random elements.
